How do I fit TiBrake shims?
IMPORTANT
The brake system of a vehicle is obviously a safety critical element. All work must therefore be undertaken with the utmost care and by persons competent to do so. Incorrect work may lead to total brake failure. Wear protective gloves and eye safety glasses at all times.
If you are comfortable with changing your brake pads you will be able to install TiBrake shims without any difficulty, one axle would take 30-40 mins. If you prefer you can also give the shims to your mechanic to install next time you take your car in. The shims are thin and will only be tricky to install when both new discs and new pads are also being installed at the same time.
The TiBrake shim must only be installed between the back of the brake pad and the calliper.
Disclaimer
TiBrake (EDM Precision Technologies Limited) or its employees cannot be held liable for the incorrect fitting of Tibrake shims, it is the duty of the person fitting any parts to any vehicle to ensure that he or she is technically competent to do so.
